Flatland

In this two-dimensional world, hierarchy is dictated by geometry. The influencers are the Circles: they constitute the aristocratic and religious elite. The more sides an individual has, the more influential they are. Conversely, isosceles triangles (soldiers and workers) are at the bottom of the ladder, as they are considered less "evolved."

The action takes place on an infinite geometric plane, a giant sheet of paper. The characters only see line segments (since they are at the level of the plane). To identify each other, they use the art of "recognition by touch" or listening, living in an extremely rigid and oppressive social structure.
